Storage & Expiration

All Happy Food items should be refrigerated promptly after pickup or delivery. Keep refrigerated foods at 40°F or below and frozen foods at 0°F or below. Perishable foods should not sit out longer than 2 hours, or 1 hour in very hot weather.

Refrigerated

Most meals, breakfasts, soups, sauces, smoothies, oats, baked goods, and desserts are best enjoyed within 4–5 days of purchase. For the best quality, keep all items sealed and refrigerated until ready to eat.

Frozen

Most Happy Food items can be frozen for up to 6 months for best quality. FDA and USDA note that foods kept continuously frozen remain safe.

Do Not Freeze

Fresh salads are best enjoyed refrigerated and should not be frozen. Freezing can damage fresh greens, fruit, and other delicate salad ingredients, even when the food remains safe. Salad dressings can freeze for up to 6 months.
